Emotions And Success…What’s Holding You Back?
by Sean Sep 9, 2009In the reality of working on the internet, many people start a home business for many different reasons. Some for financial, others to gain the freedom and for a small percentage,Read More >
About Sean
Welcome to my life, my crazy adventures and how by age: 26 I built a $1.2 Million dollar business and sold it for $1 measley dollar.
I’m a person who believes anything is possible in life and the world is our playground to prosper, develop our minds and enjoy the freedom, happiness, love, passion, joy and absolute abundance we can create for ourselves and people we come in contact with.
Throuhout my life i’ve been fortunate to KNOW what i’ve wanted since the very beginning. I was a straight “C” student in school with not a lot of interest in learning the difference between things like regular math and Geometry, Arithmetic, Calculus, Algebra or Trigonometry. I was often told, “Go to school, get good grades and work your way up the corporate ladder”, well, my own father did just that, it’s what he believed in and what happened? He lost his $90,000/yr job at the age of 50 due to downsizing.
I knew early in life this wasn’t for me, I didn’t want to work my way up the corporate ladder…I wanted to own the ladder.
Of course my parents forced me to get a good education, I finished my studies in business and worked as a personal trainer to pay my student loans and daily living. What happened when I finished school? I couldn’t get a job.
I struggled, worked full time just to pay the bills, couldn’t afford cable T.V and had to get a 2nd job nights just to put food on the table for my son. It was this breaking point, my back was up against the wall, my credit cards were maxed and I had tears of disappointment looking into my son’s eye’s one day before going to work on a Sunday afternoon.
It was at this time, just a kid at age 21 I decided I had enough. I new failure was not an option because I NEVER stopped, I just simply lost track of who I was and who I wanted to be.
I remember sitting down one night with a pen and notepad jotting down what seemed scribbles at the time. I was writing out what I wanted in my life, silly outrageous things such as:
- Live to be 120 years old
- Make $30,000/year
- Open my own fitness gym
- Travel to Mexico
and so on…
At the time I used to work at the local gym where I met a lot of great people, one person in particular owned the 4,000 sq/ft gym and competed in fitness. I was fortunate to have someone show me the ropes, what I needed to do because working for $8/hr wasn’t going to give me the life I wanted.
Let’s fast forward 5 years, not only was I able to interact with people who had what I wanted…I learned exactly what they did to get themselves where they wanted to be and I did the same.
Age 23, I opened my own 3,400 sq/ft facility that grew in size to 10,000+ square feet and served over 8,000 members in less than 3 years. This was me at age 26.
I accepted everything in my life that was happening, I didn’t turn away from my problems and I found my inner strength. As a result I turned my interest of owning my own gym from scribbles on a notepad into $1.2 Million dollars in sales in less than 5-years time.
There was only one issue, I was working 10-14+ hours every day, 7 days a week. My time off, the phone wouldn’t stop ringing and essentially I didn’t own my business, the business owned me.
To be successful doesn’t mean having money, a fast car, big house…though material things are nice, they don’t give absolute freedom. Success is you in total control of your future, knowing with certainty when you wake up in the morning the sun will rise in the East and set in the West, just like you will never have to deal with creditors and you can live your life on your own terms. Your alive, living your dream, enjoying your family, friends and everyday feels like a Saturday.
At this time I was making about $2000 a month on the internet part-time and I was drawn to the idea of figuring this all out, staying home with my family, spending time with my friends and enjoying life…something I really wasn’t doing. Long story short, I sold my fitness business for the grand total $1.00 to my business lawyer (verified) and walked away, never looked back.
Here’s a picutre of the gym I created, not bad!

I poured my heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears into the creation of the gym and certainly loved every minute of it. We had maxed out at 1,100 members as I had the knowledge and skills to make it work…it was not having total control of my freedom I didn’t like. 14-months after I sold the business…the doors closed for good, all the members left.
The new owners didn’t realize it wasn’t the company, not the products, the equipment, sauna’s, tanning beds, classes that made the fitness center…it was the people, and I knew 80% + of the members on a first name basis. I made the atmosphere what it was and gave it character, brought it to life…when I left, the atmosphere lost character and became cold over time.
You see, there’s 2 different things I value in this world aside from my family, health and surroundings… they are the:
1) KNOWN
2) UNKNOWN
I didnt know how to find what I was looking for, in order to get to the place I wanted to be I had to search for people who had the knowledge and skills I wanted. They knew what I didn’t so I glued myself to their hip and absorbed the information like a sponge. I was hungry for knowledge.

My son now keeps a good eye on my business, he sorts and sifts the serious from the curious. If your a tire-kicker, good luck with your job. If your one of the serious people who want to know the FACTS of what it takes to succeed on the internet…i’m going to teach you everything you need to know.
When I finally discovered the information that turned my online business around, it made so much sense.
I will personally show you how NOT to make mistakes.
You are ultimately responsible for your own actions. All I can do is lay it on the line what I can provide for you and give credentials of people who have worked with me and continue to do so… in the end, you are capable of making an educated decision.
I teach people with all different backgrounds and levels of experience to change their current lifestyle, mindset, level of skill and reach the abundant lifestyle each person may desire.
